LLMods ("we," "us," "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Discord moderation service, available through our website and Discord bot (collectively, the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Discord user ID, username, and avatar (via Discord OAuth)
• Email address (if provided)
• Account creation timestamp

1.2 Discord Message Content

When our bot is invited to your Discord server, we collect message content for moderation purposes:

• Message text content and metadata (author, channel, timestamp)
• Messages are processed in real-time to detect policy violations
• Message excerpts are stored for audit logs and moderation review

1.3 Server (Guild) Information

We collect information about Discord servers where the LLMod bot is installed:

• Server ID, name, and icon
• Moderation policies and configuration settings
• Channel and role IDs for moderation setup

1.4 Usage and Billing Data

• Subscription tier (Starter or Pro)
• Payment information (processed securely by Stripe; we do not store credit card details)
• Usage metrics: number of moderation judgments, tokens processed
• Billing mode (Hosted judgments or your own API key)

1.5 Technical Data

• IP addresses and browser information (for security and session management)
• Log data and error reports
• Cookies and session tokens for authentication

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the Service, including real-time moderation of Discord messages
• Enforce your moderation policies and detect content violations
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Send service-related notifications (e.g., billing alerts, policy violations)
• Operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service (we do not use your Discord message content to train general-purpose AI models)
• Detect, prevent, and address security issues, fraud, or abuse
• Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests

3. Data Sharing and Subprocessors

We share your information with the following trusted third-party service providers ("subprocessors"):

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Retention

Retention depends on your plan. After the content window below, message text, media metadata, link context, and transcripts are scrubbed or deleted; decision metadata (who, when, channel, outcome) may be kept longer.

• Message content & revisions: Free — 7 days; Starter & BYOK — 30 days; Pro & BYOK Pro — 90 days.
• Decision metadata (decision, confidence, timestamps, channel/author IDs): 1 year.
• Analytics aggregates (daily counts, no message text): 13 months.
• Account and subscription data: Retained while your account is active. Deleted within 90 days of account deletion.
• Billing records: Retained for 7 years to comply with tax and accounting regulations.

5. Your Data Rights (GDPR and Beyond)

If you are a resident of the European Union, United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with similar privacy laws, you have the following rights:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification: Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
• Data Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Restriction of Processing: Request that we limit how we use your data.
• Objection: Object to processing of your data for certain purposes.
• Withdraw Consent: Withdraw your consent at any time (does not affect prior lawful processing).

6. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:

• Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
• Secure session management with httpOnly cookies
• Encryption of customer API keys we store on your behalf
• Rate limiting and abuse prevention

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the Account Settings page. Upon deletion:

• Your account and personal data will be permanently deleted within 90 days.
• Active subscriptions will be canceled (no refunds for partial billing periods).
• Discord servers linked to your account will lose access to LLMods features.
• Anonymized audit logs may be retained for compliance purposes.

8. Children's Privacy

LLMods is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such data, we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
